Let’s Get Lit isn’t just a movement—it’s a national catalyst for turning underserved college students into confident owners, leaders, and changemakers. Through four pillars of literacy, they equip students to break cycles of inequity and build legacies of impact:

Financial & Entre/Intrapreneurial Literacy: Workshops on budgeting, investing, and launching small businesses.

Emotional & Civic Empowerment: Programs fostering self-advocacy, leadership, and community engagement.

Innovation Labs: Hands-on training in tech, creative arts, and sustainable practices for underserved youth.

Building Safe, Restorative Communities: Partnering with East of the River Clergy Police Community Partnership (ERCPCP)

The East of the River Clergy Police Community Partnership (ERCPCP) was founded in 2000 to bring clergy, law enforcement, and community members together to address youth violence and build stronger, safer neighborhoods in Washington, DC.

ERCPCP connects families, youth, and returning citizens with programs that focus on public safety, mentorship, trauma recovery, and community wellness. Through initiatives like Credible Messenger mentoring, trauma response workshops, and the First Street Village housing project, ERCPCP promotes healing and stability in Wards 7 and 8.

Faith, Justice, and Community: Their Mission in Action

Bridging Community & Public Safety: ERCPCP facilitates restorative dialogues, youth mentorship, and re‑entry initiatives through programs like Credible Messenger partnerships and school‑based interventions.

Stability Through Housing & Empowerment: Their First Street Village initiative transforms an entire city block into a supportive hub offering stable housing, family services, and campus‑based community revitalization.
